Artist Statement:
This is the media, and it pushes a certain agenda right now on women, I think. It seems that they’re pushing that “masculinity is toxic” and they’re trying to push that away from us and it’s a lot of pressure. So, I’ve done a computer, because it’s all over the internet, TV, films. This is a creature that’s hovering over and this is the women, and it’s drawing its sword from here. The guy in the middle, he’s on his knees and there’s a lot of pressure for us to strive to be better in anything we do now. It’s just in society nowadays, there is just so much pressure on men to be a certain way, but yet we should still hold true to our masculinity. We should still be strong. We should still be that but why can’t we be the gentle side too? There should be two sides to us, you know?
